Hothand / Best Buy Free gift card promotion wildly successful
November 11, 2008
UCLA students scooped up Free Best Buy gift cards in record time as part of the Hothand / Best Buy Free Gift card promotion.  The incredible response to this week long promotion resulted in giving away all 100 gift cards in a single day.  Students retrieved an electronic coupon on their cell phone containing a promotional code and showed it at the Best Buy Westwood store where the first 100 received a free Best Buy gift card. The promotion started November 10 and runs through December 7 with 100 gift cards to be given away each week.

NIRSA affiliated colleges represent over 600 campuses and more than 7 million students. College students (primarily 18 to 24 year olds) are the most sought-after demographic for marketing and almost 80% of students participate in recreation, intramurals or clubs at least once a week.
